According to court documents, police began investigating Morales-Berrios' disappearance on Jan. 15 after they received reports that no one in her immediate family had seen her since a family party on Jan. 13.

Morales-Berrios attended the party at 4:45 p.m. with her two children, who police say are minors.

Police learned that she had been in a relationship with Rodriguez-Ramos for four years and that the pair lived together at a home on Priority Road but never married or had children together.

Rodriguez-Ramos arrived separately at the family party that evening at approximately 6 p.m.

One witness reportedly told police that Rodriguez-Ramos had been acting strangely and trying to secretly record Morales-Berrios at the party.

Another witness told police that earlier that day, Morales-Berrios told the witness that she and Rodriguez-Ramos had gotten into an argument where he made "several slashing motions across his throat while looking at her," according to court documents.

Police say Rodriguez-Ramos was seen leaving the family party at approximately 10:17 p.m. in his 2002 Chevrolet Silverado.

Morales-Berrios left the party at approximately 10:30 p.m. in her 2023 Hyundai Sonata.

Police say that was the last time anyone saw her.

During interviews with witnesses, Rodriguez-Ramos was described as "extremely violent and jealous of Morales" -- even when it came to family.

Witnesses told police Morales-Berrios never left her home without telling family where she was going and that she was always in contact with her kids.

While investigating, police learned Rodriguez-Ramos had contacted multiple members of Morales-Berrios' family.

According to court documents, he told them he had killed her and that her body was in her bed.

York City Police obtained a search warrant for their home, where they found her deceased in her bed.

Rodriguez-Ramos is now being charged with criminal homicide.

He is currently being held at the York County Prison and was denied bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 31 at 9 a.m.
